Okay we just stumbled upon this place because the place we were trying to go to was so insanely packed and we didn’t want to wait for ice cream. Thank goodness it was because this place was so good!! We each got a cup of ice cream which came with a cone and toasted merengue on top. (My bf didn’t get the merengue bc he’s allergic to eggs). I got then vanilla b-dough which was just cookie dough and brownie bites. I loved the brownie bites. The merengue on top was just so satisfying too. My bf got the vegan peanut butter banana and it was also delicious. We love when there are vegan options so he can have more fun things too! I wish they would have a vegan merengue but maybe that’s something they can do in the future. The inside was also really cute. They had a lot of loud decor with a milkshake bar and room that is meant to look like it’s sprinkles. Super fun and I’ll definitely come back even though it was really pricey.
Thank you again for helping VEG Carle Place celebrate 4 years of helping people and their pets when they need it most! The icecream was phenomenal as always and loved the vegan blood orange sample! Thank you Dan!
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
I first found out about Bona Bona on the Grand Bazaar and the line was soooo long it scared us away.
Then they did this awesome event at the Moxy and I decided to come and enjoy some free icecream.
Dan was doing the event and he was sooo nice. We had a brief conversation and he spoke to me about the flavors and how they prepare them, how they work many events and even have an ice cream truck that goes around NYC since their shop is located in Westchester... it was all so fascinating to hear that I decided to come to the actual store and I was just wowwwwwed!!!!
First of all, it's huge!!!!! Space wise, it's like "the restaurant of ice creamssss", hope it explains itself. They had so much seating space inside and outside, just that was awesome enough!!!
The variety of flavor was incredible and everything sounded soooo delicious!!!! I tried maybe 2 flavors and then decided to go for their *Italian rainbow cookie*, since it was the first flavor to be "sold out" at the Moxy event and I didn't want to miss the chance to try it.
Also got cookies and cream, that's my usual and can't miss it!!
The Italian rainbow cookie was so exquisite and enjoyable, super creamy and sweet enough to satisfy your cravings!!! The cookies and cream was exactly what I was expecting, it had lotssss of cookies and was also so heavenly!!!
I tried salted caramel at the event and although I'm a "cookies & cream" kinda girl, their salted caramel was my FAVORITE flavor!!!! Can't describe how good it was, DIVINE.
My boyfriend had the chocolate b dough at the event and LOVED IT, and saw they had a vanilla b dough at the store and went for it and LOVED it as well!!!
I can't wait to be back and try more flavors and definitely get me some more salted caramel.
I had to work things around and add Bona Bona to my top 3 ice cream places!!!!! OMG!!!
Ohhhh, and the flamed marshmallow is more than the cherry on top!!! One would think that because it's marshmallow it'll be so sweet that'll bother but NOOOOO, since it's flamed it gets like a smokey note and makes it a perfect pairing with the ice cream.
Loved their creations and loved their shop!!
Can't waittt to be back!!!!
Of course I had to try the Instagram, famous ice cream, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. First off, it was nearly $7 (around $6.50) for one scoop of ice cream, which is super overpriced. Secondly, the overall product was extremely sweet I mean over the top sugar overdose. The meringue tasted like pure sugar, and the ice cream itself was far too sweet. If the owner considers lowering the sugar content it would be a lot better for the consumer…
I barely managed to finish my one scoop due to the intensity of sugar intake. Cool, concept and flavors, but seriously need to rethink the prices and sugar level.
Bona bona now serves food cooked by chef Nick. Everything was delicious. Got Burger sliders, pulled pork mac and cheese spring rolls, and french fries. Also, boozy milkshakes! Everyone needs one of those. Think about this place the next time you need either great food or great ice cream...maybe both.
BEST PLACE TO BUY AN ICE CREAM CAKE!!!!!!!! I walked right in and the staff helped me fill out the form (with much patience because I’m indecisive). I got the chocolate and vanilla b-dough inside with rainbow cookie in the cone on top. They were extremely open to any type of combinations or requests. The cake was an 8 inch with such a great height that 6 of my friends ate it (with seconds) and then still had two huge containers left over! Absolutely worth the price and the quality and quantity are phenomenal. Not to mention how beautiful and presentable it was. I’ll never go anywhere else for any occasions where a cake is needed. Bona Bona rocks!!!!
Fabulous! The Bona Bona Truck was the late night snack at my daughter’s wedding. I worked directly with Dan the owner. He provided 5 flavors. More than half the guests, both young and old, enjoyed the experience. This owner cares about the quality of his product. Was 100% worth it and I would highly recommend Bona Bona.
Definitely an amazing ice cream! You can taste how fresh they are! They don’t have a whole looot of flavors but the ones there are delicious! Milkshakes are next level and the best ones around lower Westchester for sure!
The place is really nice, and the party room made me wanna have a party there!
On top of that the staff was so friendly!
